Grew up in Millersburg & on this island since the 1950’s. Though it is 1/3 the size since we used it extensively for summer picnics, volleyball games, swimming & Fall duck hunting it still has charm. Raised, flat camping area, small secluded cove @ NW upriver side for 6 kayaks, & clean path to camping area, minus fallen old tree. Nice fishing water due west near shore. Last bigger island before the falls below Millersburg. Caught 4 fish 7/25/22 in named area. So happy the River Assoc. upgraded “our” island as a legacy we feel.
