To fix my dishwasher that was not working, the technician said he was unable to open the motor and remove the piece of glass that I told him had gotten down into the motor. He said the way the machines were now made, they were sealed and thus unable to open them. He said he would call back with a price to replace the part that included the entire mechanism that included the motor. He did not apply the discount that was advertised but said it would have to be applied on a future visit. He called back and said to fix my year old dishwasher, it would cost $563 to replace the motor mechanism. I only paid $600 for the dishwasher in the first place.
I called Sears who came out and opened the motor and removed the glass with no additional charge!
I think Appliance Doctor should refund my money for their incompetence.
