A C Automatic Transmissions

I did not have service done here but I do have a client that did. Here's the background & why I can rate & review: I'm also a mechanic and do work on site but the internal workings of a transmission, you must understand, is a specialized field not for a typical technician or mechanic. One of my client's trucks was stuck on his work site (landscaping company owner). He had issues with the manual transmission stuck in gear while the truck was fully loaded, shortly before the end of his work day. I arrived around 6p & I couldn't out of gear either because of the weight of the load. So I contacted a tow truck company, Rob's on rte 413 (great people there too, like Ray from dispatch & Andrew the driver). Unfortunately, the tow truck driver also needed my assistance in loading it, because the truck was stuck in gear AND fully loaded... in order to move or load the truck, it needed to be in neutral so it wouldn't hurt the trans or rear differential. I had to go under and remove the driveshaft, while the tow truck driver held the brakes. So after following the tow truck driver & client to this transmission shop, I also helped unload it. I followed to only chock the truck properly for overnight drop off and serve as a translator for my client. I came back the following morning to retrieve my chocks and to reconnect the driveshaft, only to find that their mechanic (I think owner too) was working on it. The driveshaft was already reinstalled and truck was no longer stuck in gear. I did talk to the mechanic to get a feel on his knowledge and work practice and relay that info to my/our client. I was impressed with his honesty, and he was very upfront about all the client's truck issues. Because of his honesty alone, I'd recommend this shop. I also think he goes out his way to be sure the customer is happy and does not return for subquality work. Very rare in any field these days.
