Lakeview Susan

This is my first time writing online review for a doctor visit, but I am doing so as I do not want another parent to go through what we have been through. Doctor here is not empathetic towards kids, behaved very rationally and rudely. I asked clearly before he suggested Cauterization to my 7 year old daughter to stop her frequent nose bleeds that will it hurt, he said “no it won’t hurt”. My daughter was under fever with 1 day into viral throat infection, already stressed with lot of uneasiness. We went there as she was having frequent nose bleeds for past two days and I just wanted her to be checked. Since she had an episode an hour before we were being seen by the doctors, he said let me cauterize the one spot that is causing the bleeding. He might be right to do so, but my concern is he should have let me decide if I wanted it on my already sick kid or not. Didn’t tell me it will be so hurtful that she has Ben crying since then and it has been almost 20 hrs since we left their office. I am reading online since then and I am surprised to know that doctors would numb the nose with cotton swab in kids to avoid the trauma.... which he didn’t. Knowing it leads to trauma in some sensitive kids, why were we not told about this is advance and why didn’t he numb her nose. Since she is already suffering with sore throat and never, she has been sneezing and finally had another nose bleed from same nostril 18 hrs after the Cauterization. This was the worst experience for us.
