Extended Stay America - Philadelphia - Plymouth Meeting

1- the hotel had a weird odor to It 2- once we got into the room there was an annoying noise that was constant ALL DAY. It sounded like a machine trying to turn on and off every 10 seconds 3- Free breakfast? I could laugh. Walked to the lobby to find that the breakfast they offered was granola bars and muffins. Thank god there was a Dunkin’ Donuts across the street. 4- after I got back to the hotel at night I find that BOTH KEYS I was given stopped working. which I then had to go back downstairs and get my keys fixed. 5- after finally getting into my room. Guess what? Housekeeping decided not to stop by and left my room a mess. Would not recommend this place even for the price. Spend $20 and get a better hotel.

This review is not of the accommodations at all. It is about the shady charges that appeared on my husbands credit card after staying at this facility. My husband is a medical student and stayed in this hotel while taking his level III boards exam. They charged him for a "smoking fee"... funny thing is he has NEVER been a smoker in HIS ENTIRE LIFE. I called and spoke to the general manager. When I asked her to provide me the evidence (she said she took a picture), and that I would gladly pay the fee if it was applicable I was told that she "probably no longer has the photo, I don't keep them long".... CONVENIENT. She then told me that she "verified" the evidence herself and she just doesn't go around charging smoking fees to people. HIGHLY UNLIKELY again as my husband has never smoked anything in his life! I would never recommend this location to anyone, and definitely not any of his classmates/future classmates who may be in the area for their boards exams. If you want shady charges on your card for fines that are not even applicable, stay in this hotel.... My advice is to book a room elsewhere!
