Hothouse Coffee

Nice appearance and selection, but the staff on several occasions were less than friendly. Also, the small and large iced coffees are the same size, because when I told the barista I had ordered a large not a small, she poured the small into the large cup and it was the same amount. Overall, cool place but could use some enhancements.

Had a really nice breakfast here. My daughter had the oatmeal which was awesome and I had a smoked salmon sandwich on bagel. All very tasty. Nice quiet atmosphere next to the Bryn Mawr theater. Really super.

I come here to get breakfast, do work, and study all the time. The regular staff is fantastic and the "Ultimate Oatmeal" is to die for (I highly recommend it!). The wi-fi is usually great, but at peak times can be a bit hit or miss. Great mix of tables and comfy furniture for studying or just meeting up with friends. The one thing keeping this review from being 5 stars right now is the owner of the cafe, who should not be working the register or bring drinks & food to customers. When she brought my breakfast today, she spilled hot milk over my computer and notes (mostly salvageable) and just walked away seemly oblivious to the whole thing; I was left scrambling to clean up the mess and save my work. Another customer who witnessed everything mentioned that she has heard many other people complain about the owner as well. (5 stars for staff and atmosphere, 0 stars for owner)
