My wife and I stayed in the primitive campsites during a hot July weekend, and were very pleased with both the campground and the area amenities.
The camping areas were nice, wooded areas with a good amount of space to set up our hammocks. There would have been ample space for tents as well. We had a picnic table in good condition and a fire ring...that's it, pure basic camping in the woods, which is what we were after. (They also have an RV area with playgrounds and the like if that's what you're after). Where we were, it was peaceful and quiet living for a weekend.
The area is great, the lake is a great recreation spot. We will return often, it was a decent 2.25 hour drive from Pittsburgh.
