I have been on a 4 year search for the perfect used medium-duty low chassis cab-over truck under $15,000.00. I may go to my grave still searching. But, I have also been on a quest for old-time service, commitment, ethics, value, and regard for the customer. I will not go to my grave still searching. Scrappy the Elder, Scrappy the Son, and, it would seem to me, all Scrappy the employees, were honest, direct, fair, and helpful. I visited multiple times, and purchased nothing (reference opening sentence). I have, at least once, been led on guided tours to exit signs at other "Service-oriented" establishments, (for wasting an employee's time(!)), while I was on a fact-finding mission. My fact-finding missions to Scrappy's Auto Service were frequent , productive, and (I would hope) mutually pleasant, because at no time did I feel anything other than a company-wide desire to provide answers to questions, solutions to concerns, and suggestions to explore possible options (other than leaving). The premises were clean, organized, and in good repair. And the customers I spoke with left me feeling confident that Scrappy's reputation and credentials may exist long after I have purchased the elusive 15th truck!
