If they are always ' behind ' maybe they should replace all the management with those that are competent in doing their job. If it is the personnel that are under those in management, they should be trained properly, speak English fluently and have a 3 strike your out deal. Each person responsible for picking loads correctly and loading trucks correctly should have a time limit on getting their individual job done. If they can not do the task at hand or show up for work on time(1st strike) they should be retrained and a $1 an hour taken from pay. Each concurring strike is $.50 more off the hour. If they have no strikes for 6mo, give them a $150 bonus. The detention time spent for us drivers to sit here for multiple hours is absurd. The detention pay isn't fully covering the wasted fuel, our time and the wear n tear on our trucks. Truckers and warehouses go hand in hand, neither can operate without the other. The owners of these places don't care about their workers nor the drivers that deliver their goods, until everything comes to a halt... Only then will they open their eyes, albeit probably only for a short time... 6hrs waiting in a dock(others have waited a lot longer) is uncalled for.
