I have had several awful experiences with this dry cleaner and today's discovery was the last straw. They have now ruined two items of my clothing (on 2 separate occasions). After managing to damage a shirt, Marrara's repaired it, however, the seamstress was not very friendly and the establishment did not seem particularly sorry for the damage. Today I discovered a shirt I had cleaned some time ago is ruined! The print bled all over the rest of shirt. The top has been dry cleaned elsewhere before with NO problems. I loved this shirt. Thanks to Marrara's I won't be able to wear it again. I wish I had checked my items while physically standing in the shop before taking my items home.
More than once I have also had unpleasant dealings with a Marrara's employee who seems to be chronically grumpy. She goes through the items you wish to drop off and begrugingly accepts them after saying "Can this even be dry cleaned?" What always gets to me when she does this is that my items are clearly DRY CLEAN ONLY fabrics such as wool and silk and she almost gives me the impression she doesn't want the business! Fine with me...I will be going elsewhere.
This place is a smelly, unprofessional, incompetent establishment that I highly suggest you avoid if you care about your clothing. The actual "shop" smells terrible (musty), looks like just as bad as it smells, and apparently can't actually dry clean items without damaging them. I am livid about the damage they have caused to my clothing. Lost my business!
