Called this morning to get a quote for mounting and balancing 4 tires, already off the car. I told him they were 35 series tires knowing they are more difficult some times. he gave me the price and said he could get them done today and I could drop them off. I called around to a few more places. They were the cheapest after my research so I dismounted the tires from the car, loaded them into my truck and drove them to the shop. After unloading them the guy told me they were going to be more difficult than he had expected and the price jumped from $15 a tires to "about $40" a tire, 266% increase in price. He apologized and it may have been an honest mistake, but it wasted my time and gas. He should have honored his price and learned to ask more questions next time.
