If you go there for a one-time haircut, not intending to have the guy to be your long term stylist, do not bother to go there at all. Once he realizes/thinks that you might not become a regular guest (in my case, I'm a student), he will not have patience listening to what you want, or brushing your hair and defining how you part your hair before cutting it. My whole haircut feels very rushed and not thorough at all. Specifically, when he cut my hair, he did not properly part the hair, which is the most basic and fundamental thing that should be done, or at least asked, before cutting/styling. Before I went for my haircut, I read all the other positive feedback and thought maybe I'll start going there often instead of the salon in my hometown. I think many of those feedbacks are from his long-term customers, and they are treated very differently. After my experience, after being treated as a customer who is a 'quick fix' and not expected to service again, I will not return. I've never seen this kind of carelessness with a hairstylist, even compared to the other salons that have walk-in service.
