I received a citation for "blocking" a driveway on my street. I went to go pay for the ticket the next day because I don't have time to plea not guilty and go to court and take a day off work. To my knowledge the receptionist said that my citation wasn't in the system and it could take up to 30 days. Just today, a month later I went online to pay after the answering machine directed me to the online payment system. However, for some reason it said I couldn't pay online and I have to contact the court. I was on the phone on and off for an hour trying to reach someone to explain my situation and no one would listen to me and kept transferring me to other departments. This was by far the worst service a municipal court could have. Good job on cracking down on parking violations.
Why in this technological day and age does it take "up to 72 hrs" for a basic parking ticket to go through so I can pay it? It's like they're waiting juuuust a bit too see if they can get you to forget about it. There's literally no other reason I can think of. Same thing in my hometown in AL. It's BS if you ask me. If I can post a 4K video to YouTube in 5 minutes, or even just send an email in half a second. You guys can send in ticket info in that much time as well. You're the government for goodness sake. Dropping bombs from drones in the middle east, but can't send info of a flipping ticket in, in less than 72 hrs.
