While I'm sure there have been many who have driven cars off the lot without problem, my experience was the nightmare scenario everyone who car shops fears.
First off, I was commuting between Johnstown and State College for work when an older 90s Dodge Neon broke down on me and I desperately needed a new, dependable ride to continue my employment. After shopping a few places , I saw a decent deal for a low-mid mileage vehicle and after a test drive bought the car the next day. That night it broke down while driving only 12 miles from my house. This was the start of a horrible process where long and short- I would bring the car in, they would do whatever bare minimum they could to get the car back on the road and then a day or 2 later the car would die again (just wouldn't turn on or only would stay on for a few minutes and then the engine would die). It had constant problems and I should have tried to have them take it back when I had it for less than a week but they kept promising everything would be fine. I ran into some job trouble when my availability became dodgy over the months as it wasn't easy to always find transportation solutions when I had my newly purchased car often breaking down. It made an already difficult time in my life into a hell.
Eventually the car became un-drivable (would physically shake and produce a horrible rumbling sound) and the expense to fix would have cost nearly as much as I had paid for it only about a year before.
I would never recommend doing business with them as the whole experience has left a horrible distrustful taste in my mouth.
