Robert Ross

I recently posted information to reveal the money being spent in DHS for top brass salary positions while our leadership insists that cuts need to be made at the working class bottom rungs of our ladder. Please know that the first post was only information about the Executive Offices under Ted Dallas. I repeated the information below so you can wrap your head around the figures: Secretary, Department of Human Services Theodore Dallas $154,642 Executive Deputy Secretary Brendan Harris $144,705 Office of Administration Jay Bausch $144,666 Office of the Budget David Spishock $144,666 Office of Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Lisa Watson $121,174 Office of eHealth Partnership Kelly Thompson $125,017 Office of General Counsel Doris M. Leisch $141,830 Office of Legislative Affairs Dwanye Heckert $97,155 Office of Policy Development Jen DeBell $129,429 Office of Press and Communications Kait Gillis $103,824 Office of Press and Communications Karen Herrling $113,389 Those offices alone amount to nearly $1.276 million. What you may not know is that the heads of the Program Offices are just below the Executive Deputy Secretary in our DHS organization. They are included here: Office of Child Development and Early Learning Suzann Morris $144,666 Office of Children, Youth and Families Cathy Utz $144,666 Office of Developmental Programs Nancy Thaler $144,666 Office of Income Maintenance Kim Lay $85,164 Office of Long Term Living Jen Burnett $144,666 Office of Medical Assistance Programs Leesa Allen $144,666 Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Dennis Marion $144,666 Folks, thats another $953,160 in yearly salaries for DHS. Combined with the last figure I gave you, we are at $2,228,941 in salaries and we haven't gone farther than one step below the Deputy Secretary. I could keep going, you know? How big do you think that figure will be before I get down to the 70 low-paid positions Ted Dallas says need to go in Income Maintenance to save DHS?
