Go to Vangura. They ROCK!!!! Save yourself time, money, frustration and possibly your marriage.
With our daughter graduating, my wife and I decided it was a great time to redo our kitchen with new countertops. So, we checked out a couple of the “junk” rock dealers, which claimed to have the BIGGEST and LARGEST inventory. We thought $2,499… WOW! WHAT A DEAL? WRONG!
Here are a few hurtles you may want to avoid. 1.) Communication barrier. Get everything in writing. 2.) Nothing is for FREE. 3.) They canceled installation 3x’s on the morning of!! Seriously, who does that? We had to reschedule my daughter’s Graduation Party because we didn’t have a countertop! 4.) When they finally show up they had the no sink. They said they would knock-off $200. No-way!! What good is a countertop without a sink? 5.) After 12 weeks they installed one side of the countertop with the seam directly in the middle of our sinkbowl and window, after I specifically indicated on the measurement sheet exactly where the seam was to be placed. 6.) 2 additional days of arguing with sales and management…they finally removed the stone countertop and came back 5 weeks later with replacement. (Yes, they also rescheduled again.) UGH!
Hooray! Right? WRONG AGAIN!! 7.) The “L” portion was measured and cut incorrectly. 8.) They re-cut ¼” off the edge to get it to fit. You would think they would at least cut it outside. Right? Not these guys. Do you realize how hard it was to clean up shaved stone in your kitchen? The Backsplash is not flush and does not sit level on our countertop. It’s clearly evident by the 1/8” drop. This unfortunately story is 100% true. If it happened to me, it can happen to you.
