Willow Street KinderCare

As a mother of four, choosing a daycare is a very stressful and difficult decision. My children had been in a different daycare, but due to changes in management, my husband and I opted to move them to a different center. The first thing that struck my husband (as he did the initial investigations) was the way the centers opened their doors the day we called. We were immediately invited to come in and check the centers out. We spoke to 3 different daycares, 2 of which were Kindercare, and of those three, were able to visit both Kindercares that day. My husband went to the first alone, where he found a pleasant and welcoming director and staff. They gave him a complete tour of the facilities, introduced him to all of the teachers, and showed him each of the rooms, even though our children would only be in two of the rooms. The next part of the tour consisted of speaking with the individual teachers about the curriculum that the center would be teaching! As my husband and I are both teachers, we were thrilled to know that the centers had a curriculum AND that the staff taught them each day. Upon leaving the center, my husband called me excitedly, then told me that there was a second center, even closer to our home, and that they had invited us, and our children to come for the evening/late afternoon to check things out. Long story short, we have been thrilled with the Willow Street Kindercare! It is MORE than a daycare, it's an educational center. My twins have found their voices and have become very independent and engaged learners in Discovery Preschool with Miss Heather and Miss Steph. My three year-old has blossomed from a quiet, shy little girl into a happy, social, young lady with multiple friends under the careful and watchful eyes of Miss Jill and Miss Lori, and we loved the center so much that we moved our oldest, a kindergartner, from SACC at her school to the Kindergarten room with Mr. Ryan! Our children are happy and healthy. The ENTIRE staff knows each of our children by name, welcomes them each morning with a smile, helps them with potty training, social and academic skills, and takes the time to meet their individual needs. The director goes above and beyond to make sure that our children are well taken care of and that the needs of each and every child, as well as those of the parents are met, including the creation of a parent forum which takes place monthly to engage parents and create ways for the parents to voice concerns and suggestions. I can't say enough positive things about Mary (director) and Kate (the assistant director). Every little whim, every little concern has been IMMEDIATELY addressed and taken care of. I highly encourage everyone and ANYONE to enroll their children in such a phenomenal education center!
