Very frustrated with my experience. Sent a web inquiry in to see about having a Kenmore water softener repaired. A woman called me right away. I asked if that was something they could help me with, and while they were out, if they could vent our bathroom fan through the roof (the previous owner only had it vented into the attic). She indicated they could and we setup an appointment for the next day.
Fast-forward 24 hours, and the repair tech spent maybe 20 min in my house. After telling him I went through the troubleshooting steps on Kenmore's website, he said he couldn't repair the softener, only replace it (at $1900 for what's about a $500 appliance). He also took one look at the fan and said they couldn't do that either -- they'd have to outsource to a carpenter (at $450, as opposed to the $250 a roofer quoted me when checking out the roof).
Oh yeah -- and they charged me a $69 entry fee to tell me that they couldn't do either thing the appointment setter claimed they could. That's really the frustrating part -- no new information was gathered that wasn't provided over the phone.
I'd heard great things about Zimmerman, and the employees were nice enough, but I can't help feeling like they stole $69 from me.
