Just after midnight someone tried to enter my gated driveway. Fortunately, the sound of the gate opening set off the dogs and whomever it was fled almost immediately. I saw the taillights of the car or truck leaving the end of my driveway. Even though it was late, I reported the incident to the dispatcher and within minutes a patrol car drove by the house, very responsive.
