I will give this encounter 3 stars, because I don't know if the company's masonry work is good or bad. However, their communication during the quotation process was poor, and that may be an important sign for consumers to know about. When Chris (the manager?) sent me a quotation by text, the message was scrambled, and on my phone screen appeared to say the cost would be $246. I texted back and asked if he meant to send that figure, because I'd paid $2,500 for the same job before, and knew $246 had to be a mistake. I also sent him a screen capture to show him how his scrambled quotation appeared on my phone screen. He apparently became annoyed by the whole thing, because he subsequently failed to answer my multiple messages afterwards asking about the warranty and the date when his company could do the job. The cold shoulder, or sudden refusal to communicate, was totally unprofessional and even illogical. If they can act so disdainful of an interested potential client even before work begins, I wonder how much more uncommunicative, unresponsive, and uncooperative they might be when actually doing a job.
