Pictures do not do justice to this beautiful home and it's amazingly landscaped surroundings! The Lodge at Singing Waters is truly a treasure among vacation rental properties! The pictures do not show the warmth of each room nor the welcoming atmosphere of twinkling lights and cascading waters that greet all who come here. It is truly amazing. When my three cousins and I arrived, we were greeted by the owners, Charlotte and David. They showed us just some of the amenities awaiting us inside the Lodge. (We found many more.) They also had a basket of snacks, including, but not limited to: The makings for S'Mores, sticky buns, information on places to see and things to do, and fresh flowers (yellow roses) for my birthday/anniversary! I have rented homes many times in the past and have never felt so welcomed. My experience is that an owner's first concern is that the renter do no damage to their property and follow all the rules... which is understandable. This was not the case with David and Charlotte. Their first priority was our comfort, enjoyment and safety. While still in awe at the exterior of the property, we went inside the Lodge which was even more awesome! There is a comfortable "study" with a wonderful L-shaped desk where I kept in touch in my business through a wifi connection and my computer. The kitchen, dining and living room area is an open space so that no matter where you are in this living space, you can carry on conversations with everyone else. Each of my three cousins had bedrooms of their own on the upper level that were tastefully decorated and spacious while also being cozy. I had the luxury of the full lower level 'apartment' which had its own fireplace, living room, dining area, flat screen tv, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and large bedroom. Walking outside was wonderful. The sound of the waterfalls, the birds, including 2 woodpeckers, and ground level sensor lights to guide you around the property. It was too warm to take advantage of the fire pit but it beckoned to us and was fully stocked with wood to burn. The deck was just the place to enjoy morning coffee and the gazebo on the lower portion of the deck invited us to sit and relax with its twinkling lights and comfortable chairs. We had such fun visiting nearby Tunkhannock and doing some shopping. We drove the winding roads of the Poconos and were amazed at the scenic sights, interesting farms, well-groomed lawns and homes and quaint shops. The one serious flaw in our stay at the Lodge was..... It was over before we were ready to leave. Thank you Charlotte and David!
