I have a pair of Doxies who were in need of their yearly check ups/shots and a good grooming. Farily new to the area I found Mid Valley to be just a few miles from my residence and since it was so close I made an appointment for the Vet visit and a grooming...note I said "GROOMING". Instead what I got was a Veternarian who couldn't remember which dog was which and kept forgetting procedures, such as checking their teeth, ears and skin.
Turned out that our Mini had a fever and was in need of an antibiotic and the "groomer" found a leision on my long haired. It wasn't much of a grooming, we had to hold our dogs down while the "groomer" brushed out their coats and clipped their nails and had the nerve to ask if we wanted them bathed as well...DUH that is a part of the grooming process isn't it? At least I always thought so. Other groomers have always bathed them and have somehow managed to clip their nails and brush them without us having to hold them down!
I admit to feeling extremely bad for causing my "girls" such trauma and will never return to that vet. I had to give them a rating of one star which is far too much of a grade becauswe they certainly didn't earn that one star. But if I wanted this review to post I had to give it. They were far below the "Poor" spectrum on my pet care chart that is for sure. My adivce, if you live near Mid Valley and don't want to take the extra time to go someplace else? Do yourself and your pet a favor and go someplace else.
I feel horribly guilty for putting my "girls" through that and have promised them never again. No animal should go through that and no Veternairn should be allowed to practice that way.
