River Front Park, owned and operated by Loyalsock Township, is home to the most significant prehistoric Indian sites in Lycoming County. The park features a heritage trail, a combination walking path and lined with interpretive panels.
Locals walk their dogs here, or take exercise along the trail. Youth play soccer on the associated fields, and community groups use the pavilion and picnic facilities during the spring and summer.
Occasionally, private groups will host organized events here, including PowWows and the Om Fest.
Lycoming College's archaeology department held field schools at the park with assistance from Northcentral Chapter 8, Society for PA Archaeology.
There is abundant natural beauty at the park, and viewing and fishing access to the river.
